Rising senior to play for Region 6 in Charlotte

West Lincoln All-Conference baseball player Chandler Jenkins has been selected to participate in the prestigious North Carolina Powerade State Games, taking place in Charlotte from June 19-23.
This year’s games will feature eight teams in a round-robin style tournament.
Jenkins, a 6-foot rising senior for the Rebels, has a career batting average of .330 and has set a school career saves record on the mound with 11.
He is the first West Lincoln baseball player to be selected to the State Games.
He finished this past season with several team highs with 33 hits, nine doubles, two home runs, 33 RBIs, 48 total bases and a .370 batting average.
Jenkins and the Region 6 team will play their first game of the tournament at 7:30 p.m. on June 20 at UNC-Charlotte.
