Sandra ‘Sandy’ Kaye Dellinger
Sandra “Sandy” Kaye Dellinger, age 48, of 2618 Buffalo Forest Road in Lincolnton, died on Saturday, June 1, 2013.
Her funeral service will be 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 6, 2013 in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Hubert Clinard, Rev. Tony Matthews and Rev. Derrick Dellinger officiating. Burial will follow in the Hills Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. this evening at Warlick Funeral Home.
Miss Dellinger was born June 23, 1964 in Mecklenburg County to Jimmie Caldwell Dellinger and Jean Sifford Dellinger. She was preceded in death by a sister, Michelle Dellinger and grandmother “Nannie”, Helen H. Sifford. Sandy formerly worked at Blum Incorporated.
She is survived by her parents, Jimmie and Jean Dellinger of Lowesville; lifetime companion, Lorie Beard of Lincolnton; brother and sisters, Gloria Riehl and husband Ed of Oak Ridge, N.J., Timothy W. Dellinger and wife Johnny Sue of Lowesville, Donna Luckey and husband Sammy of Lowesville and twin sister, Candace “Candy” Dellinger of Lowesville; and nieces, Lisa Michelle Dellinger and Ashley Dellinger-Maddox.

Lana Trammel Woods
Lana Trammel Woods, formerly of Terrell passed peacefully in her sleep on Monday, June 2, 2013 following a lengthy illness. Lana worked for many years in the business office of Crowell Hospital before becoming a successful small business owner of various types, primarily in the food service industry in and around Denver and Lincolnton. Upon retirement she and her husband Jim sold their home on Lake Norman and moved to Hertford where she combined her love for dogs and a need to stay busy into a thriving dog sitting business.
Lana was preceded in death by her mother, Inez Sutton and father Leland Trammel; brother, Clifford Roberts; and a son, Michael Todd Wilson.
She is survived by her husband, Jim of Hertford; sister, Glenna Roberts of Hickory; son, Billy Wilson and Lindsay Dean and her children, Caleb and Alexia of Lincolnton; daughter, Robin Hardin her husband Danny and son Jerry of Lincolnton; four step-sons, James Woods Jr. and wife Mary Ann and children Olivia and James of Virginia Beach, Robert Woods and wife Jessica of Pelham, Ala., Jeff and Cathy Edwards and son Jeffery of Del., and Marvin Woods of Statesville; grandchildren, Paula Micol and husband Brad of Hickory, Katie Wilson and Monty Mendenhall of Lincolnton, Cole Wilson and RJ LaPorte of Durham; and great grandchildren, Meredith Mendenhall and Asher Jude Micol.
Lana will be remembered by friends and family as someone who was not afraid of hard work and always put the needs of other above her own. She loved her animals, loved the lake and especially loved her family
The family will receive friends at Crowell Memorial United Methodist Church, Killian Rd., Lincolnton beginning at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, June 7, 2013 followed by a memorial service at 3 p.m.

A funeral service will be held today at 1 p.m. at Gold Hill Missionary Baptist Church, Stanley. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church. Interment will be at Rock Hill-Gold Hill cemetery, Stanley.

Hazel Price Hilton, 88, of Newton died June 4, 2013.
A funeral service will be held June 7, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at First Baptist Church, Newton. The family will receive friends in the church parlor following the service. A graveside service will be held June 8, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Lakeland Memorial Park, Monroe.
