Julia Tillman Anthony
Julia Tillman Anthony, age 79, of 1313 Old Mill Road in Lincolnton, died on Wednesday, May 15, 2013.
Her funeral service will be 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 18, 2013 in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dr. Judy Eurey and Rev. Charles Stevens officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:45 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Anthony was born October 26, 1933 in Gaston County to the late James Everette and Allie Ford Tillman. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Howard Anthony; brother, Ben Tillman; and sister, Hazel Black. She worked as an administrative assistant for Sunoco Products.
Mrs. Anthony is survived by two daughters, Louann McNeilly and husband Doug of Polkville and Joy Anderson and husband Lee of Morganton; five grandchildren, Blake and Brett McNeilly, Chelsea, Courtney, and Colby Anderson; nephews, Doug Black and Danny Black; sister-in-law Betty Tillman; and nieces Lisa Adams and Benette Sutton.

Steven Lee Neagle
Steven Lee Neagle, age 43, of 2953 Chestnut Road in Lincolnton, died on Tuesday, May 14, 2013.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. on Monday, May 20, 2013 at New Vision Ministries with Pastor Scott Mann officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:30 p.m. until 5:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
Mr. Neagle was born February 11, 1970 in Mecklenburg County to the late Ted and Judy Abee Neagle. He worked in sales and customer service for Alert Metal Works in Dallas, N.C. Steven was the middle school pastor and elder at New Vision Ministries, “A Great Man of God!”
He is survived by his wife, Anita Taylor Neagle of the home; son, Samuel Neagle of the home; daughter, Elizabeth Neagle of the home; brother, Jeff Neagle of Belmont; sister, Susan White of Huntersville; step-mother, Ann Neagle of Newton; and grandmother, Helen Neagle of Belmont.

Catherine Tessner Taylor, age 71, of 1734 Boy Scout Road in Lincolnton, died on Tuesday, May 14, 2013.
Her funeral service will be 11 a.m. today at Highland Drive Freewill Baptist Church. The body will lie in state for thirty minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow in Hollybrook Cemetery. Visitations was held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 16, 2013 at Warlick Funeral Home.
Mrs. Taylor was born April 30, 1942 in Lincoln County to the late Julius and Eva Spencer Tessner. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Rabon “Raz” Taylor; brother, J.T. Tessner; two sisters, Nettie Jarrell and Lottie Milbur; and a stillborn grandson, Gabriel Michael Taylor. Mrs. Taylor was a homemaker.
She is survived by two sons, Mark Taylor and wife Faith and Shannon Taylor and wife Alison, all of Lincolnton; daughter, Sharon Black and husband Gene of Rock Hill, S.C.; two sisters, Bertha Leatherman and Rosie Spencer, both of Lincolnton; and six grandchildren, Rev. Joshua Taylor and wife Mandy of Anderson, S.C., Anna Schill and husband Vince of Athens, Ga., William Black, Rachel Black, David Black of Rock Hill, S.C., and Ethan Taylor of Lincolnton.
