Diabetes support group

Church revival
Hope Baptist Church, 571 Salem Church Rd. in Lincolnton, will host a spring revival 7 p.m. daily today through May 15 with guest preacher Tanner Munday and special music.

Coaltion of Churches
Lincoln County Coalition of Churches will meet 7 p.m. at Oaklawn School in Lincolnton.

Community forum
The Institute for Emerging Issues, based out of N.C. State University in Raleigh, will host in connection with Lincoln County’s unit of the N.C. Cooperative Extension a community forum on manufacturing and education in Lincolnton 12-2 p.m. at Homesteads Grill in Lincolnton. Camp Dogwood
Lincoln County Cooperative Extension’s will host a senior citizens’ retreat today to Camp Dogwood in Sherrills Ford. Cost is $7 and includes lunch. Register by visiting the Extension office at 115 W. Main St. in Lincolnton or by calling (704) 736-8461.

History & photo project
Crouse UMC, 3311 Crouse School Rd. in Crouse, will host a Crouse community history and photo project 4-6 p.m. with scanning from 3-3:45 p.m. in the fellowship hall. For more information, call (704) 736-1440.

Animal Services fundraiser
Lincoln County Animal Services will host a fundraiser night 5-9 p.m. at Zaxbys restaurant in Lincolnton. The eatery will donate 10 percent of all proceeds during that time to Animal Services. In addition, anyone who shows the cashier a picture of his pet will receive a free nibbler with any purchase. Donations will be used to cover the cost of general animal care in the county shelter and promote animal adoptions.

Church revival

Social Club
The Lincoln County Social Club will meet 2-4 p.m. at the Citizens Center in Lincolnton. The N.C. Cooperative Extension will sponsor the event, which will include card playing and other games. Call (704) 736-8461 for more information or to register.

Widowed Group
Widowed Group of the Greater Gaston Area will host a motivational/educational class on personal safety/fraud/check schemes 6:30 p.m. at the Senior Park & Rec. Center, 1303 Dallas-Cherryville Hwy. in Dallas. Doors will open at 6 p.m. Beverages will be provided during the event and refreshments following the event.  LKN Covekeepers
The Lake Norman Covekeepers will meet 7 p.m. at the East Lincoln Volunteer Fire Department, 406 S. Pilot Knob Rd. in Stanley. Yard & bake sale
Lincoln County’s Independent Order of ODD Fellows will host a yard sale, raffle, breakfast and bake sale 7 a.m. to noon at the Odd Fellow Lodge, 1970 Buffalo Shoals Rd. in Lincolnton. Proceeds will benefit the 3rd Annual John Scott Jr., Memorial Scholarship. Rain date will be May 25.

Fish fry & yard sale

Purse sale
Crouse UMC’s women’s group will host a gently-used pocketbook and purse sale 9 a.m. to noon at 3311 Crouse School Rd. in Crouse. Family Carnival
Lake Norman Mommies and the Energy Explorium at McGuire Nuclear Station in Huntersville (near the Lincoln County line) will host a Family Carnival 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. with food, games, performances, prizes and more.

Motorcyle & Car Show
Daystar Family Worship Center, 115 Industrial Park Rd. in Lincolnton, will host its 3rd Annual Motorcyle & Car Show 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Cost is $20. An auction and refreshments will follow the event along with entertainment by the 3:16 Band. For more information, call Victor Hanke at (704) 860-7452.

Lincoln County Animal Services will host a rabies clinic 12-4 p.m. at the DSS office, 1136 E. Main St. in Lincolnton. Cost is $7.

Medicare meeting
Lincoln County DSS, 1136 E. Main St. in Lincolnton, will host a special meeting about Medicare benefits 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Lunch will be provided.

4-H summer programs
The Lincoln County 4-H Club is offering various Summer Venture Programs June 10-Aug. 9 for ages 6 to 18. Costs, dates, times and locations vary. Registration deadline is May 24. For more information, contact the 4-H office at (704) 736-8458.
