A Denver woman crashed her vehicle Tuesday into a daycare center where she had recently been fired, the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office said.
Deputies apprehended Amy Susan Fier, 60, of 7196 Executive Circle, leaving the scene just before 3 p.m., according to an agency press release.
Children were in the lobby of Tutor Time Day Care Center on Waterside Loop Road when the incident happened. No injuries were reported, deputies said.
Fier is accused of ramming her vehicle through the metal and glass front doors at the site, causing about $3,000 in damage.
Roughly 30 minutes before getting the call about the crash, deputies said they had gone to the daycare in reference to a disturbance call involving the woman.
Fier faces one misdemeanor count each of assault with a deadly weapon, second-degree trespassing, communicating threats and injury to real property.
She has since posted an $8,000 secured bond.
Daycare officials refused to answer additional questions about Fier and the incident when the Times-News called the business on Thursday.
