Lincoln County will be host to the 10th Congressional District Republican Party Executive Committee convention on Saturday.
The event, to take place at Lincolnton High School on North Aspen Street, will feature U.S. Rep. Patrick McHenry as the keynote speaker. Delegates from Lincoln, Buncombe, Catawba, Cleveland, Gaston, Polk and Rutherford counties are expected to attend.
The convention will officially get underway at 10 a.m., following breakfast from 8:30-9:45 a.m. and registration from 9-9:55 a.m. The registration fee for delegates is $10.
On the agenda for the event is the election of officers for the 2013-2015 term, as well as the selection of at-large members to the district and state GOP executive committees.
