iKnight Tech Drive
North Lincoln High School recently conducted its second annual “iKnight Tech Drive” fundraiser. Through this schoolwide effort, the school was able to raise $17,000 that will be spent on new technology for students. With statewide budget cuts, these monies will be helpful in providing the latest technology that students need to be 21st-century learners. The PTO will later post a list of technologies purchased with the money raised. First Federal Savings Bank of Lincolnton was the fundraiser’s “Platinum Sponsor,” not only providing North Lincoln with $3,725 for a SMART Board but also giving the same amount to Lincolnton High School, West Lincoln High School and East Lincoln High School. Other businesses that donated to the cause included: Hamilton Orthodontics, Pepsi Co., Denver Construction Company, Advanced Robotics Control and Service, Brooks Furniture, Duke Energy, Avason Dentistry, Austin Orthodontics, Abernathy Chevrolet, Boyles Consulting Engineers, Lail Electric, Race City Steel, Team Nadine, Triton Trailers and Modacam.
