Deputies said they may have a potential suspect in a rash of vehicle break-ins that took place this month on the county’s eastern end.

Surveillance video at Denver Mini Mart on N.C. 16 in Denver recorded a man Sunday using a credit card stolen from one of the targeted vehicles, the Sheriff’s Office said.

Multiple credit cards along with money, a cell phone and GPS systems were taken from various unlocked vehicles located along Executive Circle and Connemara Court, both in Denver.

Detectives believe the rash of incidents took place on Saturday, when victims reported leaving their vehicles unlocked.

The following day, six different area residents discovered their items missing and reported the incidents to the Sheriff’s Office.

Anyone who recognizes the man in the photo or has information on any of the recent break-ins is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office at (704) 732-8050.
