Clyde Wesley Palmer
Clyde Wesley Palmer, 63, of Lincolnton died March 14, 2013.
He was born March 17, 1949 to the late Mozelle Martin Palmer and Frank Wesley Palmer. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Howard Palmer.
Survivors include children, Clyde Wesley Palmer II and Spring Heather Palmer; grandchildren, Justice Gavin Palmer-Whitesides, Quinton Payne Palmer-Whitesides, Grayam Christian Palmer-Hull, William Wesley Palmer, and Wyatt Franklin Palmer; mother is his children, Bette Umphress Palmer Scales; sisters, Ann Beal and Dorthy Chapman.
A graveside service will be held 4 p.m. today at Salem Baptist Church cemetery. A casual receiving of friends will be held at 5 p.m. following the service at 340 Poplar St., Lincolnton, 28092, Pine Village.
Mary Mull (Tiny) Butler
Mary Butler departed this life to live forever with Christ on Wednesday, March 20, 2013. She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard Mull and Gracie Lea Huffman Mull.
Mary is survived by a loving husband, Frank Butler; siblings, Paulette Swink of Crouse, Linda Austin of Vale, Peggy Gledhill of Midland, Mich., Scott Mull of Vale; nieces and nephews, Amy Stephenson of Statesville, Cindy Paysour of Denver, Vickie Swink of Cherryville, Jordon Mull of Vale, Casey Yore of Midland, Mich., Kelly Yore of Cincinnati, Ohio, Jayden Gledhill of Midland, Mich., Caleb Mull of Vale, whom she loved dearly. Mary had a special place in her heart for her church family, her neighbors on George Hildebran School Road and her cherished little dog, Scampy who recently passed away.
The kindness and warmth which Mary so unselfishly extended to everyone she met were genuine reflections of God’s love here on Earth. Anyone who knew her quickly became “babe” and we are left to cherish her upbeat, positive nature and her wonderful giggle, which could bring sunshine to an otherwise cloudy day. A servant to her church and family, Mary had worked in customer service at Quality Oil and retired from Hickory Chair Furniture after 35 years of service.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at Beulah Baptist Church with the Rev. R.A. Brackett and Gary Huntsinger officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church this evening from 6 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

David Harry Hoyle
David Harry Hoyle, age 52, of 1218 General Hoke Drive in Lincolnton, died on Wednesday, March 20, 2013.
A graveside service will be held at 4 p.m. today at Hollybrook Cemetery with Rev. Clint Darst officiating.
Mr. Hoyle was born August 6, 1960 in Lincoln County to the late Harry and Elizabeth Abernethy Hoyle. He worked for over 31 years at The Timken Company.
He is survived by his wife, Jane B. Hoyle of the home; two sons, Jacob David Hoyle and Daniel Harry Hoyle, both of the home; a brother, John Hoyle of Lincolnton; a twin sister, Beth H. Gilleland and husband Johnny of Lincolnton; and mother-in-law, Margaret Benfield of Conover.

DALLAS — Randy Alan Elmore, 58, died March 16, 2012 at his home.
Randy was born on June 29, 1954 to Bill and Faye McAlister Elmore.
Survivors include his wife, Mary; stepson, Anthony Sanchez; and sister, Donna Rhyne, all of Dallas. He was employed by McMurray Fabrics in Lincolnton.
A memorial service will be held at Plainview Baptist Church, Dallas-High Shoals Hwy. on March 23, 2013 at 1 p.m.
