NL, LNC golf tie for first at SPC opener

North Lincoln and Lake Norman Charter both scored 158 to tie for first place in the opener for the Southern Piedmont 1A/2A Conference golf schedule at Bessemer City on Monday.
West Lincoln’s John Dock Tallent scored a 36 to finish as match medalist for the sixth-place Rebels.
North Lincoln’s Alston Taylor, Jake Haynes and Tanner Reynolds all scored a 39. Ben Hager and Nick Steele shot a 41.
Lincolnton was led by Dylan Houser’s 39. J.R. Little shot 41, Eli Walker finished with a 42 and Will Saine scored a 44.
Lincolnton finished second with a team score of 166. East Lincoln took fifth at 176 and West Lincoln finished sixth at 177.
