County meeting
Lincoln County Board of Commissioners will meet 6:30 p.m. at the James W. Warren Citizens Center in Lincolnton.

Senior Showcase
CMC-Lincoln’s Healthy at Home program, in conjunction with the Arts Council of Lincoln County and Lincoln County Senior Services, will present the first day of the Senior Showcase Exhibit, on display 10-11 a.m. in the Lincoln Cultural Center’s solarium on E. Main St. in Lincolnton. The artwork will be available to the public through March 23. Board of Education
The Lincoln County Board of Education will meet 6:30 p.m. in the conference room of the Lincoln County School headquarters facility on N. Generals Blvd. in Lincolnton, for committee sessions, beginning with the Curriculum Committee followed by the Budget and Finance Committee and Building and Site Committee. The meeting will be open to the public.

Lions Club
The Lincolnton Lions Club will meet 7 p.m. in the Elm Classroom of CMC-Lincoln’s Medical Plaza, 411 McAlister Rd. in Lincolnton, followed by a Board of Directors meeting. Members and guests planning to eat in the hospital cafeteria should arrive 30 minutes beforehand. Tool for Caregivers
The Lincoln County Cooperative Extension will host a six-week long educational program called “Powerful Tools for Caregivers” starting 1-2:30 p.m. today at the James. W. Registration is now open for contestants interested in participating in The Miss Gastonia Scholarship Association’s Outstanding Little Miss Cleveland County-Lincoln County Pageant March 16 at the Cleveland County Office Building Auditorium, 130 South Post Rd. in Shelby. Girls from Cleveland, Lincoln, Gaston and surrounding counties are eligible to enter. The competition for contestants ages 0-6 will be 11:30 a.m.; the competition for contestants ages 7-19 will be 2 p.m. Proceeds will benefit the Miss Gastonia scholarship fund.
