North Lincoln junior Jeremy Brotherton scored 21 points to lead the North Lincoln Knights boys varsity basketball team to a 96-54 win over the West Lincoln Rebels on Friday.
Four other North Lincoln players scored in double digits — Cohen Pirtle scored 16 points, Chase Stehling added 13, Terrel McClain scored 12 and Hunter Caldwell added 10 points. Brotherton and Stehling both pulled in seven rebounds and senior Christian Ramos finished with 11 assists and nine points.
The Knights (10-12, 3-9 Southern Piedmont Conference) outscored the Rebels 21-13 in the first quarter and then exploded for 31 second-quarter points to take a 52-27 lead at the halftime break.
West Lincoln (2-18, 0-12) closes out the regular season at Bessemer City on Tuesday and at home against Lincolnton on Friday.
North Lincoln travels to first-place Lake Norman Charter on Tuesday and hosts East Lincoln on Friday.
