Clyde Elliott Ingle

Clyde Elliott Ingle, 70, of Brentwood Ct., Mooresville, passed away on Monday, February 4, 2013, at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center, Mooresville. Born June 13, 1942, in Lincolnton, he was a son of Margaret Reynolds Ingle and the late Forrest Ingle.

Mr. Ingle was a shipping/receiving clerk for Covington Detroit Diesel, Charlotte. He was an avid Tarheel, Braves, and Redskins fan.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Lindsay Pennell and a son-in-law, Barry Pennell.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Kathy Sue Daniels Ingle; children, Tammy Pennell, Terri Ann Deaton and husband, Craig, Todd Ingle and wife, Karen, Tim Ingle and wife, Jenny; step-children, William Kerry Bailey, Shonia Freeman and husband, Gerald, and Travis Shane Bailey; brother, Danny Ingle and wife, Mary; grandchildren, Jordy, Logan, Justin Ingle, Anna, Ashley, Skye, Dylan, Holden, Justin Freeman and Matthew; and great grandchildren, Blake “Bubba”, Tanner B., Tyler, Tanner I., Jameson and Liberty.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 9, 2013, at the Cavin-Cook Funeral Home Chapel, Mooresville. The family will receive friends from noon until 2 p.m., prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Lincoln County, 107 N. Cedar St., Lincolnton, NC 28092.

Jeffrey Morris Nichols

VALE — Mr. Jeffrey Morris Nichols, age 64, of 3708 Wyant Road in Vale, died on Monday, February 4, 2013.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 9, 2013 in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Michael Collins officiating.

Mr. Nichols was born April 24, 1948 in Morristown, N.J. to the late Charles Ted and Wilma Mae Miller Nichols. He was a hearing instrument specialist.

He is survived by his wife, Vivian Barrett Nichols of the home; one son, Eric Nichols and wife Laura of Iron Station; one daughter, Amy Downes and husband Matt of Roanoke, Va.; two brothers, Robert Nichols and wife Barbara of Georgetown, S.C. and Thomas Nichols and wife Sandy of Rockaway, N.J.; and four grandchildren, Brittain, Brandon, and Taylor Nichols, and Erin Downes.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 222 S. Church Street, Suite 336M, Charlotte, NC  28202, or to the American Cancer Society, 6000 Fairview Road, Suite 200, Charlotte, NC  28210.

Dennis Roy Peace

SHELBY — Dennis Roy Peace, 65, passed away on Saturday, February 2, 2013 peacefully at home.  A native of Rutherford County, he was the son of the late Isom James and Ellen Blanton Peace.  He was also preceded in death by his brothers Isom Jerry Peace Jr. and Steven Wayne Peace. Dennis served in the Navy during the Vietnam Conflict for three years.  He was a disabled veteran.  He was of the Baptist faith – he loved the Lord.

Mr. Peace is survived by three sisters, Nancy Brewer and husband Jack of Shelby, Diane Burleyson of Shelby, Suzanne Crawley of Vale; three brothers, John Peace of Gastonia, Robert Peace of Ware Shoals, S.C., Terry Peace of Waynesville; and a very special niece and caregiver Lisa R. Lowery; many other nieces, great nephew; and a very special great niece, Aubrey Scott; and a special great nephew, Hunter Scott whom he worshiped.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. today at the Chapel of Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory.  Burial will follow in Salisbury National Cemetery at 1 p.m.  The Rev. Rodney Navey and Rev. Keith Navey will be officiating.  The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.

Nadene Bumgarner

Nadene Arndt Bumgarner, 87, of Catawba died February 5, 2013.

A funeral service will be held on February 7, 2013 at 3 p.m. at Burke Mortuary Chapel in Newton. Burial will follow in Providence Memorial Cemetery in Catawba. The family will receive friends on February 7, 2013 from 2 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. at the funeral home, prior to the service.

Burke Mortuary, Newton is serving the Bumgarner family.

 

Robert Eugene Schrum

Robert Eugene Schrum, 84, of Lincolnton died February 2, 2013.

Services will be held February 7, 2013 at Goodin-Drum Funeral Home at 11 a.m. The family will receive friends this evening at Goodin-Drum Funeral Home, Maiden from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Interment will be at St. Matthew’s United Church of Christ.

Buddy Patterson

Buddy Patterson, 88, of Charlotte died February 3, 2013.

Funeral services will be held February 9, 2013 at 1 p.m. at Temple International Church, Charlotte with burial to follow in Beatties Ford Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service at the church.

Howard William Lunceford

Howard William Lunceford, 74, of Gary died February 1, 2013.

Graveside services were held February 3, 2013 at Rocky Spring Cemetery.

Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home served the Lunceford family.

 

George Howard Rhinehardt

George Howard Rhinehardt, 71, of Newton died January 28, 2013.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete at Burke Mortuary, Newton.

 

Marvin Cato

Mr. Marvin Cato, 67, of Denver, died February 3, 2013.

Services will be held in Atlanta, Ga. at a later date.

Clarence “Jake” Lester Long, Jr., 74, of  Lincolnton, died on February 3, 2013.
