The State Bureau of Investigation is looking into allegations that a Denver man distributed at least two images of child pornography over the Internet this fall, the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office said.

Deputies and SBI officials have charged Edward Arthur Peck, 47, of 1753 North Highway 16, with two felony counts of second-degree sexual exploit of a minor/distributing material, according to a Wednesday afternoon agency statement.

Sheriff’s Detective Don Mauldin and SBI agents said they seized more than one computer and other materials from the suspect’s home during a search Tuesday night.

According to arrest warrants, the suspect used the Internet to distribute both photos on Sept. 12. One image depicted a nude child between the ages of eight and nine wearing a dog collar and rope bound around her legs, the warrant said.

The second image showed another girl between the ages of eight and 11 involved in an explicit sex act with an adult male.

It is not known at this time if Peck’s computers contained additional images of child pornography or if he was involved in some sort of Internet ring.

Peck is currently being held under a $200,000 secured bond, and the SBI is conducting an ongoing investigation into the matter.
