A Lincoln County woman with a Stanley address is accused of firing a gun at two passing vehicles last week along a Gaston County roadway.
Mt. Holly police arrested Ashley Nicole Hunsucker, 26, of 5719 Country Lane Road, on Wednesday and placed her under a $5,000 secured bond.
Hunsucker, who had allegedly been drinking at the time of the incident, used a .380-caliber pistol to shoot at vehicles on Belmont-Mount Holly Road, police said.
A witness called 911 and reported the incident, and officers picked up the suspect at the corner of Beatty Drive and Belmont-Mount Holly Road.
Police have charged Hunsucker with at least one count each of discharging a firearm in city limits and assault with a deadly weapon.
She’s since been released from the Gaston County jail.
No one is known to have been injured in the incidents.
