Watch Night Service
New Providence Full Gospel Church, 947 George Brown Rd. in Crouse, will host their annual Watch Night Service with praise and worship starting at 10 p.m. Apostle Eugene Brooks will minister.


Animal Shelter
Lincoln County Animal Services will be changing their shelter hours starting today. Previous hours were 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Mon.-Sat. and 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. New hours will cut out extended hours on Thursday. For more information, call (704) 736-4125.


Senior Games
Gaston County Parks and Recreation will kick off the Gaston County Senior Games (for ages 55 and up) 1 p.m. at the Senior Center, 1303 Dallas-Cherryville Hwy. in Dallas. Breakfast buffet
Bethel Baptist Church, 200 Bethel Ch. Rd. in Lincolnton, will host a breakfast buffet 7-10 a.m. For more information, call (980) 241-0982.

Church concert
New Covenant from Beckley, WV, will be in concert 6 p.m. at Living Word Ministries of Lake Norman, 1062 S. N.C. 16 in Lowesville. Dinner will be served at 5 p.m. For information on event cost, call (704) 618-9762.

Bluegrass concert
Grace Baptist Church, 495 Horseshoe Lake Rd. in Lincolnton, will host an evening of Bluegrass Gospel music 7 p.m. with Kevin Carter and Full Assurance. For more information, call (704) 735-1390.


Blood drive
Community Blood Center of the Carolinas will host a blood drive 1-4 p.m. at 735 Buffalo Shoals Rd. in Lincolnton.


Radar on Radon
Registration is now open for anyone who would like to participate in the N.C. Cooperative Extension’s “Radar on Radon” classes 12-1 p.m. Jan. 9 and 24. Participants will receive a voucher for a free radon test kit, learn about radon and what to do if a home has high radon levels.
