Deputies: Denver teen missing since Sunday
Deputies are on the hunt for a missing Denver teen who was last seen Sunday evening at her residence.
Family of Amanda Marie Atkins, 16, of Lake Shore Road South, told the Sheriff’s Office she was at home around 5:30 p.m. but was not in her room when they checked at 10:20 p.m., according to a press release.
The teen fled the residence through a window, the release said.
Sheriff’s detectives think the blond-haired, green-eyed girl may be in Lincoln or Gaston County.
She is described as being 5-foot-1 and weighing 115 pounds.
The Sheriff’s Office, who is considering her a runaway, said Atkins dropped out of North Lincoln High School a couple of weeks ago.
Anyone with information on the teen is asked to contact the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office at (704) 732-9050, the Lincoln County Communications Center at (704) 735-8202 or call 911.
