MONDAY

Toy drive
The Denver Fire Department has teamed up with Toys For Tots for their annual toy distribution drive and are asking individuals to drop of new or unwrapped toys to 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday-Wednesday, 5-8 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. Call (704) 483-5115 for additional drop-off dates, times and station locations. Families who wish to receive toys must fill out a form found at any one of the three department stations. Forms may also be downloaded from denverfd.com. Toys will be distributed Dec. 24.

Cherryville city council
The City of Cherryville will hold a city council work session at 3 p.m. in the Cherryville Fire Department training room.

Hospice month
In honor of National Hospice Month, Hospice & Palliative Care Charlotte Region will host “Dining Out for Hospice” at Fatz Cafe in Lincolnton. Fatz will donate 10-15% of their sales to either Hospice & Palliative Care Charlotte Region, Hospice & Palliative Care Lake Norman, Hospice & Palliative Care Lincoln County or Levine & Dickson Hospice House.

Christmas Bazaar

Christmas lights tour
Laboratory UMC, 2896 Laboratory Rd. in Lincolnton, will host a motorcoach tour to Tanglewood Christmas Lights in Winston-Salem. The group will leave at 11:30 a.m. and return at 9 p.m.

Fill in the Gap
Drop off items now through Dec. 18 at local dentist offices in and around Lincolnton. Items will be donated to Lincoln County Coalition Against Child Abuse & Child Advocacy Center. The nonprofit is in need of everyday items such as toilet paper, trash bags, coffee and more.
