Preview party
The Arts Council of Lincoln County will present a preview party for A Festival of Trees and Artists’ Market 7-9 p.m. Friday at the CMC-Lincoln Building, 200 Gamble Dr. in Lincolnton. The event will also feature a coffee house, cookie sale, floral shop and art auction. Tickets are now available at the Lincoln Cultural Center.

Country breakfast

1972 LHS reunion
Lincolnton High School’s Class of 1972 will hold their 40-year reunion at Vesuvius Vineyards in Iron Station with a family picnic at 2 p.m. followed by music and fellowship until 10 p.m. There will also be a silent auction. Parade/Tree Lighting
The 2012 Lincolnton Christmas Parade will be 4 p.m. in downtown Lincolnton. Line-up will be 1-3 p.m. in the parking lot of Lincolnton High School. The Tree Lighting Ceremony will follow at 5:30 p.m. on the east side of Court Square. Vendors will be on hand with cotton candy, funnel cakes, candied apples and more. Toy drive
The Denver Fire Department has teamed up with Toys For Tots for their annual toy distribution drive and are asking individuals to drop of new or unwrapped toys to 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Nov. 28. Call (704) 483-5115 for additional drop-off dates, times and station locations. Families who wish to receive toys must fill out a form found at any one of the three department stations. Forms may also be downloaded from denverfd.com. Toys will be distributed Dec. 24.

Fill in the Gap
Drop off items now through Dec. 18 at local dentist offices in and around Lincolnton. Items will be donated to Lincoln County Coalition Against Child Abuse & Child Advocacy Center. The nonprofit is in need of everyday items such as toilet paper, trash bags, coffee and more.
