Photography Club
The Lincoln Photography Club will meet 7 p.m. at the Lincoln Cultural Center in Lincolnton. Participants are asked to bring a camera and tripod for hands-on practice.


Boone trip
The Lincoln County Senior Center’s Caregiver’s Support Group will host a fall trip to Daniel Boone Inn in Boone, N.C. The group will leave 8:30 a.m. from the Farmer’s Market. To register, call Judy with Cooperative Extension at (704) 736-8461.

Realtors continuing ed
A continuing education class for realtors with update and elective classes will start 8:30 a.m. at Lincoln Country Club in Lincolnton. For more information, call Linda Brocuglio at (704) 622-3520.

Line dancing
The Lincoln County Senior Center, 514 S. Academy St. in Lincolnton, will host weekly line dance classes 10-11 a.m. today through Nov. 27. To register, call (704) 732-9053.

Library forum
The Lincoln County Public Library will host a community forum 6:30-7:30 p.m. at Howards Creek Community Center in Lincolnton. To participate in the community-wide survey, pick up a copy at any Lincoln County library branch or visit mylincolnlibrary.org. Farming grant
The Lincoln County Cooperative Extension will host a workshop/info. session 6 p.m. in the first floor kitchen of the James W. Warren Citizens Center in Lincolnton regarding RAFI’s (Rural Advancement Foundation International) annual farming grants. Deadline to apply for a grant is Dec. 5. Grant applications and eligibility guidelines are available at ncfarmgrants.org. Farmers located in the Mountain Regions are encouraged to visit wncagoptions.org for more information.


Cooking Club
Lincoln County 4-H’s monthly “Kids Gourmet Cooking Club” will start 3:30-5:30 p.m. at the James W. Warren Citizens Center, 115 West Main St. in Lincolnton. The monthly class will continue through May 22 and is limited to kids age 9-12.

Diabetes meeting
CMC-Lincoln will host a free guided grocery store tour 9 a.m. at Harris Teeter in Denver. The tour will be led by a registered dietitian and certified diabetes educator.

Dementia meeting
The Lincoln County Senior Center in Lincolnton will hold programs on Alzheimer’s and dementia 9:30-10:30 a.m. Thursday and again in December in the facility’s multipurpose room. To register, call (704) 732-9053.

Bingo fundraiser
The Lincolnton Sunrise Rotary Club will host a bingo fundraiser 6 p.m. at the Lincoln Cultural Center in Lincolnton. The event will feature a “Zombie Walk” for homemade cakes, a silent auction, costume prizes, crafts, games and other food. Childcare will be provided. Community breakfast

Pancake breakfast

BBQ sale

New Destiny Community Church and LakeSide Church will host “Truth or Treat” 5:30 p.m. at 626 S. N.C. 16 in Stanley.

Biker Sunday
Boger City Wesleyan Church, 2803 E. N.C. 27 in Lincolnton, will host Biker Sunday with Rev. Doug Hardin at 10:45 a.m.

Reformation service
Bethpage Lutheran Church, 3440 N.C. 182 in Lincolnton, will host a community reformation service at 5:30 p.m.

Trunk or Treat
Hill’s Chapel UMC, 988 N.C. 16 South in Stanley, will host Trunk or Treat 5:30 p.m. with hot dogs, pizza, hay rides, games and a carved pumpkin contest. Costumes are encouraged.

Asbury UMC, 3097 Asbury Ch. Rd. in Lincolnton, will host Octoberfest 5:30-7:30 p.m. with a hot dog supper, games, cake walk hay rides and trunk or treat.


Child abuse gala
Lincoln County Coalition Against Child Abuse is seeking sponsorships for their “Casino Royale Charity Gala” Dec. 15 at Vesuvius Vineyards in Denver. The fundraiser event will feature a Texas Hold ‘Em poker tournament, a Black Jack table, door prizes and more.
