Frances Lawing Bynum
MAIDEN — Frances Lawing Bynum, age 81, died Thursday, October 4, 2012 at Iredell Memorial Hospital in Statesville. Born June 15, 1931 in Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late Edgar and Annie Lawing.
She was a member of McKendree Methodist Church in Lincolnton and was previously employed by Ethan Allen.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Joe C. Bynum Jr.; sisters, Cora Williams and Virginia Sigmon; brothers, HC Lawing, Lloyd Lawing and Boyd Lawing.
Survivors include her daughters, Oleka Cline and husband Melvin of Claremont, Deborah Roberts and husband Billy of Mont.; son, Joe C. Bynum III of Newton; grandchildren, Melvin Cline Jr. and wife Stefanie of Deep Gap, Joe Bynum and wife Lynn of Maiden, Tyler Bynum of Newton; great grandchildren, Raylee, Ada, and Lincoln Cline and Mason Bynum.
A memorial service was held at 3 p.m., Saturday, October 6, 2012 at Drum Funeral Home Chapel in Conover. Rev. Byron Repass officiated and burial will be held at a later date. The family received friends at the funeral home from 2 p.m. until 2:45 p.m., prior to the service.

Peggy June Light Goodall
Peggy June Light Goodall, age 61, of 408 Sherrill Farm Road in Lincolnton, went to be with the Lord following a lengthy battle with cancer on Thursday, October 4, 2012.
Her funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, October 7, 2012 in theWarlick Funeral HomeChapel with Danny Shortridge officiating. The family received friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Saturday, October 6, 2012 atWarlick Funeral Home.
Mrs. Goodall was born March 2, 1951 in Boone County, W.Va. to the late Walter and Sarah Flynn Light.
She is survived by her husband, Roy Dean Goodall of the home; one son, Thomas Shrewsbury and Angie of Cherryville; three daughters, Christine Shrewsbury, Kathy Shrewsbury and Jeff Hill, and Deanna Shrewsbury, all of Cleveland, Ohio; three brothers, Jack Light and wife Zora of Iron Station, Danny Light of Akron, Ohio, and Walter Light Jr. and wife Ruth of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; four sisters, Mary Koliha, Linda Vandall and husband Lee, all of Maiden, Norma Vickers of W.Va., and Anna Abernathy and husband Miller of Lincolnton; eleven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She will be greatly missed by all.

Max Hamrick, age 83, of Lincolnton died Sunday, October 7, 2012.

Eula Mae Avery
Eula Mae Avery, 77, of Iron Station died October 4, 2012.
Services will be held October 10, 2012 at 3 p.m. at Tuckers Grove United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
