Charlotte Odene Wilson Hardison
MAIDEN — Charlotte Odene Wilson Hardison, age 54, of Lincolnton passed away September 30, 2012 at Levine & Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville.
Born October 5, 1957 in Catawba County, she was the daughter of Marie Willis Wilson and the late Lee Gordon “L.G.” Wilson Jr.
She was a homemaker.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Wilson and a sister, Roxanne Caldwell.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, James Hardison of the home; a son, Duke Philyaw of Lincolnton; three daughters, Cortney Grant of Lincolnton, Megan Hardison of Lincolnton, and Alison Hardison of Lincolnton; mother in law, Eva Lois Hardison; two step children, David Hardison of Newton and Michael Hardison of Benson; two brothers, Steve Wilson of Lincolnton, and Mark Wilson of Maiden; six grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 4, 2012 at 4 p.m. at Memorial United Church of Christ with Rev. Ronnie W. Parker officiating. Burial will follow in St. James Lutheran Church Cemetery. The family will have a visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.

Robert Gene ‘Bob’ Hudson
Robert Gene “Bob” Hudson, age 78, of 2329 Country Club Road in Lincolnton, died on Monday, October 1, 2012.
His funeral service will be 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 4, 2012 at Salem Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Andy Royals and Rev. Kenneth Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until 3:15 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
Mr. Hudson was born January 12, 1934 in Lincoln County to the late Pete and Rosie Holbrooks Hudson. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Edna “Jane” Lynch Hudson, and a brother, Ralph Hudson. He served in the United States Air Force. He retired as an insurance executive. Most recently, he served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Lincoln Mutual Insurance Company.
He is survived by two daughters, Karen Harris and husband Walter of Mooresville and Lindy Culp and husband Dave of Charlotte; and two grandchildren, Devin and Samantha Harris.
Bob was known for his friendliness and unique sense of humor. He was a good father, a good friend to many, and touched so many lives with his generosity. He will be greatly missed for the special man that he was and the laughter he brought to our lives.

Mr. Terry Jay Jones, age 55, of 738 Alf Hoover Road in Lincolnton, died on Tuesday, October 2, 2012
His funeral service will be 2 p.m. on Friday, October 5, 2012 at Gainsville Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Rice officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday, October 4, 2012 at Warlick Funeral Home.
Mr. Jones was born August 19, 1957 in Gaston County to Bonnie Sue Pritchett Jones and the late J.L. Jones. He worked for Vermont American (Robert Bosch Tool Corp.) for 34 years. He was a member of Gainsville Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Penny William Jones of the home; one son, Josh Jones and wife Holli of Lincolnton; one daughter, Tara McCorkle and husband Shane of Lincolnton; two brothers, Keith Jones of Lawndale and Stacey Jones and wife Connie of Vale; and his mother, Bonnie Sue Jones of Lincolnton. The great joys of his life were his grandchildren, Jayden Jones, Micheala McCorkle, and Landon McCorkle.

Parvell “Polly” Elizabeth Ross, age 84, of Lincolnton passed away October 1, 2012 at CMC – Lincoln.
Born October 10, 1927 in Gaston County, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Alexander Bradshaw and Algie Clarinda Johnson Bradshaw.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Tommy Bradshaw.
She retired from Rhyne Mills after many years of service.
Survivors include three sisters, Earline Sain and her husband Billy of Lincolnton, Myrtle Koone of Lincolnton, and Geraldine Mace of Lincolnton; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held today at 4 p.m. at South River Baptist Church with Rev. Byron Repass and Rev. Larry Chapman officiating.
The family will have a visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
