Martha Nakagawa Jones
Martha Nakagawa Jones, age 82, of Charlotte, died Sunday, September 23, 2012 at Presbyterian Hospital – Main. Born September 15, 1930 in Honolulu, Hawaii, she was the daughter of the late Nobori Nakagawa and Georgian Torres Nakagawa. Ms. Jones retired as a pharmacist technician of Eckerd Drugs.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Friday, September 28, 2012 at Wilson Funeral & Cremation Service. The service to celebrate Ms. Jones’ life will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Lincolnton.
Survivors include three children, Rick Leonhardt of Lincolnton and Martha Gyles and Arthur Jones, both of Charlotte; four grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Ms. Jones was preceded in death by a brother, James Nakagawa.

Barbara June Gosthnian
Barbara June Gosthnian, age 74, of 3780 Stoney Creek Drive in Lincolnton, died on Monday, September 24, 2012.

Mrs. Gosthnian was born June 23, 1938 in Redmond, Wash. to the late Larwin B. and June Hazel Smith Hawks. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Gosthnian loved singing and square dancing. She was also a member of Maiden Wesleyan Church for fourteen years.
She is survived by her husband, Harry Gosthnian of the home; a daughter, Joanna Claflin of Lincolnton; a son, Tony Graff of Lincolnton; two stepsons, Harry Gosthnian Jr. and John Edward Gosthnian, both of Wash.; a step-daughter, Dorothy Rolph of Wash.; two grandchildren, Lyle James Claflin and Camey Lee Westermark of Wash.; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Nancy Louise Queen White Wilson, age 72, of 1328 Little Valley Lane in Lincolnton, died on Monday, September 24, 2012.

Mrs. Wilson was born April 21, 1940 in Cleveland County to the late Marvin and Nancy Green Queen. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Richard Queen, and her first husband Enoch White. Mrs. Wilson was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Dean Wilson of the home; three sons, Mitchell White, Dennis White, and Tim White, all of Lincolnton; two step-sons, Tim Wilson and Jamie Wilson, both of Lincolnton; one brother, Tom Queen of Shelby; a sister, Faye Tillman of Charlotte; and eight grandchildren.

Mr. Byers was born May 27, 1931 in Lincoln County to the late Lee Marion and Minnie Sain Byers. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Inez Sarah Chapman Byers. He was a retired salesman for American Parts
He is survived three sons, Samuel Edgar Byers Jr. and wife Cara of Crouse, John David Byers of Jensen Beach, Fla., William Edgar Byers of the home; three sisters, Katherine Avery, Mary Lee Avery and Sue Jane Sides all of Lincolnton; six grandchildren, Jacey, Kaitie, Cassandra, Jackie, Laura and Sara Byers.

SUPPLY — Mr. Boyd Richard Crump Sr., age77, of 705 Pine View Drive, S.W. in Supply, formerly of Lincolnton, died on September 23, 2012.
His funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. today at Rhyne Heights United Methodist Church in Lincolnton with Rev. Kathy McAbee officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. prior to the service at the church.
Richard lived in Lincolnton most of his adult life with his wife, Jo Ann. They owned and operated Scottie’s Gift Shop uptown for several years in the early 90’s.
Our beloved father has passed on to be with our Lord Jesus Christ. He was a simple, honest and friendly man who loved his wife and children. We will miss him greatly, and the warmth of being in his presence.
Mr. Crump was born January 18, 1935 to Harvey Lee Crump and Virginia Rhyne Crump. He is preceded in death by his wife, Jo Ann Edwards Crump and a brother, Jerry Kirk Crump.
He leaves behind three sons, Wayne Crump and wife Estelle of Supply, Boyd R. Crump Jr. of Maiden, Timothy Scott Crump and wife Vicki of Mocksville; one daughter, Sherry C. Seagle and husband Larry of Lincolnton; two brothers, Harry D. Crump and Paul Crump both of Lincolnton; and four sisters, Margie Hamrick of Forest City, Joyce Ann McCurry and Faye Ross both of Lincolnton, and Brenda Mathis of Supply. Brenda was a special caregiver for Richard for the last several years of his life. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
