Employment Staffing relocates office
Employment Staffing, previously located on Vandiver Drive in Lincolnton, moved last month to 1216 N. Flint St., at the corner of Flint Street and Aspen Street in Lincolnton.
Manager Kelly Hardee told the Times-News that the new, larger facility will allow the office to accommodate more people.
She also noted that the new building, which she described as a “big upgrade,” will be a more convenient location for applicants.
Coinciding with the move, Employment Staffing has also recently hired an additional staff member.

RW Garcia breaks ground on plant expansion
RW Garcia, a producer of tortilla chips and corn-based snack items, broke ground on an expansion to its facility in the Lincoln County Industrial Park Thursday morning. As the Times-News previously reported, the California-based company plans to add 30,000 square feet of warehouse space with a $2 million investment. The county’s Board of Commissioners approved an incentive grant agreement for the expansion in July.
The move is expected to create 15 new jobs within two years.
This is RW Garcia’s first expansion since locating in the county in 2004, according to a press release from the Lincoln Economic Development Association. Increased demand worldwide was cited as the reason for the planned addition of space.
Company officials estimate a completion date for construction within the first quarter of 2013.
The Keith Corporation is the project’s developer, while Choate Construction will be the contractor.
