A Lincolnton man and woman have been charged with robbing a local ice cream and coffee shop earlier this year, police said.
Earl Lee Bryson Brooks, 22, and Brittany Denise Pickelsimer, 21, both of 111 Hubbard Street, have been accused of breaking into Morgan’s Dairy Bar & Calf-A on East Main Street three months ago, according to a police report.
Officers apprehended the duo and charged them each with one felony count of breaking and entering and larceny. Detectives additionally charged Brooks Friday with conspiring to commit breaking and entering.
The pair took an undisclosed amount of cash from the business in May, Det. Mark Sain told the Times-News on Thursday.
In 2010, Brooks violated a domestic violence protective order in the county, according to the North Carolina Department of Correction website.
Both suspects remain in the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center, Brooks under a $10,000 secured bond and Pickelsimer under a $5,000 secured bond.
