The Pizza Hut on East Main Street in Lincolnton reopened Tuesday after being under renovation for five weeks.
Amber Pelusio, store manager, told the Times-News Monday that the nearly 40-year-old building was previously in “really bad shape.” As such, the restaurant’s entire dining room was stripped and redone. This was in addition to exterior work completed to transform the outer appearance of the store.
Televisions are another new feature added to the dining room.
“We needed a fresh look,” Pelusio said.
With the physical transformation, she hopes the restaurant will reflect a new attitude and a more “hometown feel.” The focus of the renovations was to create improved service for customers, she noted.
Pelusio, previously a shift manager, became manager of the store last September. She said the renovation project was one of the first things on her to-do list.
In addition to the new look, the restaurant will also have new hours of operation. Sunday through Thursday, Pizza Hut will be open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. On Fridays and Saturdays, its hours will be from 11 a.m. to midnight.
