DENVER — Rebecca Ann Tyner Parrish Pharr “Becky”, 71, of Denver, formerly of Siler City passed away on Thursday, June 21, 2012 at her residence surrounded by her family
Born on February 26, 1941 in Siler City, she was the daughter of the late James Coryl Tyner and Ruby Pickard Blair. She was a member of Siler City Church of Christ. Becky will be most remembered for loving her family, her quick wit and never meeting a stranger.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Deanna Tyner Clayton.
She is survived by her husband, Rainer Mack Pharr “Bo”; son,s Edward Lee Parrish Jr. and his wife, Deb, and James Clinton Parrish and his wife, Lana; grandchildren, Trey Parrish and his fiancee, Kelley Grindstaff, Addison Parrish, Cason Parrish, Jameson Parrish, Carly Thorpe and her husband, Jim, Adam Richardson and Eric Richardson; great grandchild Taylor Buchanan; sister, Cathy Tyner Smithson and her husband, Gary; brother in law, Mike Clayton and his wife, Becky; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, June 24, 2012 at the Denver United Methodist Church, 3910 North Highway 16 Denver, NC. Rev. Tim Killian will officiate. The family will receive friends from 2:30 p.m. until 3:45 p.m. in the church. Burial will immediately follow the service in the church cemetery.
Mike Clayton, Gary Smithson, Mike Wilson, Scott Clayton, Jeff Britton and Dave Jackson will have the honor of being pallbearers.
