Police recovered more than $30,000 in lawn equipment and a work truck that they said was stolen from a city residence over the weekend.
The items were taken from a home on North Cedar Street Sunday night and located in a wooded area at Betty G. Ross Park in Lincolnton Tuesday morning, according to Lt. Brian Greene and a police department press release.
Among the items stolen included a 2005 GMC truck, lawn mowers, a weed eater, rakes and a leaf blower.
Lincoln County Sheriff’s deputies assisted police with the investigation and recovery, Greene said.
Police said they have a person of interest in the case. Officers are continuing an investigation led by Det. Mark Sain.
