Basketball camp

Thursday’s Treats

Sons of Confederate

LEPC
The Lincoln County Emergency Planning Commission (LEPC) will meet 9:30-11:30 a.m. Friday in the Board of Commissioners Room on the 3rd floor of the James Warren Citizens Center in downtown Lincolnton.

Art exhibition
The Lincoln Cultural Center will host the exhibition “Mr. Lem: The Life and Art of Lemuel Moore Nolen” Friday. The project is a collaboration of the Crouse Community History and Photo Project and the Lincoln County Historical Association.

Men’s softball
L-Town Extreme Fastpitch 10 and under softball team will host a men’s open softball tournament 6 p.m. Friday at Lincolnton Optimist Park on Startown Rd. in Lincolnton. Poetry Lincolnton
Poetry Lincolnton will host a Bonus Open Mic reading event for all poets plus an added surprise 7 p.m. Friday at the Lincoln Cultural Center, 403 E. Main St. Bring extra poems.

Car wash fundraiser
North Lincoln High School’s band booster will host a car wash 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Hardees and Fatz in Lincolnton.

Classic Car Cruise
Moore’s Chapel Baptist Church, 2320 E. Main St. in Lincolnton, will host an old car and truck cruise 11 a.m. Saturday. Free hot dog meals will be given to anyone with a car or truck. For more information, call (704) 530-3557.

Holy Fest

Bible study
House of Hope Assembly is hosting a Bible Study 7 p.m. Wednesdays at 36th St. Bakery in downtown Lincolnton.  The study, called “God is not looking for perfect people,” focuses on Hebrews 11.

Class registration
Registration and advising for fall classes for students returning to Gaston College is taking place through June 21. Registration for all students will be July 9– 25. Fall semester starts Aug. 20. For more information, visit gaston.edu.
