Senior Dance

Cancer Cruise

Widowed Group
Widowed Group of the Greater Gaston Area will hold an annual picnic Saturday at the Senior Center, 1303 Dallas-Cherryville Hwy. in Dallas. Doors open at noon. Church luncheon
Bess Chapel United Methodist Church, 6073 Flay Rd. in Cherryville, will hold a salad luncheon noon Sunday. Proceeds will benefit the building fund.

Kids’ camp
Registration is still open for Lincoln County Parks & Recreation’s summer day camp (for grades K-6), which starts Monday. The camp will take place at Howard’s Creek Community Center and East Lincoln Community Center. Activities will include games, crafts, swimming, bowling, movies and more. Canning classes
The N.C. Cooperative Extension will host a variety of canning classes at the James Warren Citizens Center this summer at the following times: pickles, 6 p.m. Monday; pressure canning & salsa making, 10 a.m. Tuesday; peach jam, 6 p.m. June 18; pickles, 10 a.m. July 10. Art exhibition
The Lincoln Cultural Center will host the exhibition “Mr. Lem: The Life and Art of Lemuel Moore Nolen” on June 15. The project is a collaboration of the Crouse Community History and Photo Project and the Lincoln County Historical Association.

Men’s softball

City of Lincolnton Parks & Rec. and the Lincolnton High School Athletic Dept. is currently taking registration for a summer football camp (grades 3-9).
