Payton Dellinger

MAIDEN — Payton Michelle Dellinger, age 13 months, of Fostall Lane, Maiden passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2012 due to a vehicle accident.

Born April 3, 2011 in Catawba County, she was the daughter of Brandon Dellinger and the late Tisa Michelle Strickland Dellinger, which was in the same fatal vehicle accident.

Survivors include father, Brandon Dellinger of the home; paternal grandparents, Bobby and Donna Dellinger of Maiden; maternal grandfather, Mike Strickland and wife, Mary of Kings Mountain; maternal grandmother, Phyllis L. Strickland of Lincolnton; great grandparents, Ken and Joyce Dellinger, Darrell and June Hoover, James and Jean Strickland, Richard and Alice Lamberth; two uncles, Shane Strickland, Dustin Dellinger and wife, Kadie and their son, Sawyer; aunt, Ashton Dellinger.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, June 2, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Maiden Wesleyan Church in Maiden with the Rev. Bob Scott officiating. The family will receive friends, prior to the service, from 12:00 noon until  1:45 p.m. at the church. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Lincolnton.

Memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.

Tisa Dellinger

MAIDEN — Tisa Michelle Strickland Dellinger, age 26, of Fostall Lane, Maiden passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2012 due to a vehicle accident.

Born May 1, 1986 in Catawba County, she was the daughter of Michael Ray Strickland and Phyllis Lamberth Strickland.

Her daughter, Payton Michelle Dellinger, was also involved in the accident and was fatally injured.

Survivors include, husband, Brandon Dellinger of the home; father, Mike Strickland and wife, Mary of Kings Mountain; mother, Phyllis Lamberth Strickland of Lincolnton; brother, Shane Strickland of Lincolnton; paternal grandparents, James and Jean Strickland of Kings Mountain; maternal grandparents, Richard and Alice Lamberth of Iron Station; father and mother-in –law, Bobby and Donna Dellinger of Maiden; brother-in-law, Dustin Dellinger and wife, Kadie and their son, Sawyer; sister-in-law, Ashton Dellinger.

Vada Ann Lucas Jarrett

CHERRYVILLE — Vada Ann Lucas Jarrett, age 83, of 1439 E. Main Street in Cherryville, died on Wednesday, May 30, 2012.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 2, 2012 at Anthony Grove Baptist Church.

Ms. Jarrett was born March 14, 1929 in Elk Hills, W. Va. to the late Albert Frye and Mary Elizabeth Creed Lucas. She worked as a secretary for Gaston Mental Health.

She is survived by a son, Brian Jarrett and wife Melissa of the home; two grandchildren, Samantha Jarrett and Jordan Jarrett of the home.

Linda Lindsay

KANNAPOLIS — Linda E. Lindsay, 64, of 410 S. East Ave., Kannapolis, died at her residence on May 30, 2012.

Mrs. Lindsay was born August 7, 1947 in Natick, Mass., the daughter of Robert E. Emory and Shirley Beadle Emory.

She retired from the U.S. Post Office where she worked in computer forwarding.

A memorial service will be held in Fla. for her family to attend.

Janice Robinson

MAIDEN — Janice Elaine Robinson, age 66, of Maiden passed away on Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at Palliative CareCenter and Hospice of Sherrills Ford.

Born June 4, 1945 in Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late Bascom Clegg and Vassie Mae Schronce Robinson. Janice was a lifelong member of Mt. View Baptist Church in Maiden and was a retired accountant from Carolina Mills after 30 years of service.

In addition to her parents, a brother, Brigadier General Bobby C. Robinson and brother-in-law, Howard Harris preceded her in death.

Survivors include a sister, Doris Harris of Maiden; two nephews,  Michael Harris and wife, Karol of Greensboro, Robert Robinson and wife, Kathy of Knoxville, Tenn.; two nieces,  Lesa Mosca and husband, Robert of Indiana Trail, Beverly Tanabe and husband, Mino of Arlington Heights, Ill.; three great-nieces, Laura, Kara and Rebecca Robinson; six great-nephews, Andrew Degler, Evan Harris, Luke, Owen and Austin Tanabe and Dillon Mosca; sister-in-law,  Barbara Drum Robinson of Centerville, Va.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2012 at 4 p.m. at Mt. View Baptist Church in Maiden with Rev. Raymond Hamrick officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends tonight from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.at Mt. View Baptist Church in Maiden.
