Haley Nicole Caldwell and Mark Adam Schrum were united in marriage at The Quarry at Carrigan Farms, Mooresville on April 7, 2012 with Rev. Anita Sain officiating the 6 p.m. ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Lanny and Cindy Caldwell of Lincolnton. Maternal grandparents are Sam Bryant and the late Carol Bryant and paternal grandparents are Sallie Caldwell and the late E. Jack Caldwell. She is a 2004 graduate of Lincolnton High School, 2008 graduate of Appalachian State University, and is a third grade teacher at S. Ray Lowder Elementary School.
The groom is the son of Tim and Teresa Schrum of Newton. Maternal grandparents are Flossie Brooks and the late Ray Brooks and paternal grandparents are the late Clyde and Muriel Schrum. He is a 2002 graduate of Bandys High School and attended East Carolina University. He is employed as a carpenter at Dwight Dellinger Construction.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents. Maid of honor was Lacey Caldwell, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Leah Cook, cousin of the bride, Angela Stone, sister of the groom, Miranda Britt, Lauren Link, Sarah Aderhold, Kayla Wright, all friends of the bride.
Best man was Tim Schrum, father of the groom. Groomsmen were King Stone, brother-in-law of the groom, Matt McAlister, Devin Houston, Jason Frye, Chad Scott, Chris Caldwell, all friends of the groom.
Flower girl was Kingsley Stone, niece of the groom, and ring bearer was Abraham Stone, nephew of the groom. Music for the wedding and rehearsal was provided by Johnny and Vickie Colvard. Soloist was Bill Powell, cousin of the bride. Register attendants were Anniston Alfaro and Karstin Alfaro, cousins of the bride. The wedding was directed by Carol Caldwell, aunt of the bride.
A reception was held at The Quarry at Carrigan Farms. The parents of the bride hosted the reception, with Joy Ioan and Carol Caldwell assisting with serving the wedding cake.
A rehearsal cookout was hosted by the parents of the groom in Newton.
After a honeymoon cruise to the Bahamas the couple resides in Newton.
