Big reunion for Little family
[/media-credit] The Little family gathered at the arbor at Rock Springs Campground on May 6. Attending were 74 descendants of John F. Little and Lucinda Lockman Little, who were married in 1855 and are buried at Bethel UMC in Denver. They trace their beginnings back to Ancient John Little and his wife, Jane, who arrived on this side of the Catawba River in 1742. John came down from Pennsylvania with many other Scots-Irish settlers, who originated from Scotland. Lake Norman covers a large portion of the original land grant: the Little Creek area. During the reunion they reminisced about old times and met new kin-people and figured out their connections. Their children played with cousins they didn’t know they had. They plan to make this an annual event. Little family, mark your calendars for the first Sunday in May next year.
