Donald Mack Cline Sr.
Mr. Donald Mack Cline Sr., age 70, of 516 Battleground Road in Lincolnton, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 14, 2012.
His funeral service will be 4 p.m. on Thursday, May 17, 2012 at First Wesleyan Church in Lincolnton with Rev. Tommy Wright officiating. Burial will follow in the South River Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on tonight at Warlick Funeral Home.
Mr. Cline was born March 29, 1942 in Lincoln County to the late Gordon and Josie Long Cline. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Terry Cline. Donald was a member of First Wesleyan Church. He worked as a truck driver.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Jackson Cline of the home; two sons, Donald Mack Cline Jr. and wife Neenie and Jamie Cline and wife April, all of Lincolnton; one daughter, Kendall Cline Webb and husband Justin of Lincolnton; three brothers, Joe Cline and wife Tommy of Mt. Holly, Jerry Cline and wife Judy and David Cline and wife Tina, all of Lincolnton; one sister, Mary Ann Hoyle and husband Tom of Vale; sister-in-law, Deane Cline of Lincolnton; and five grandchildren, Emaly Williams and husband Michael, Anna Cline, Aaron Cline, Jacob Cline, and Kinley Cline.

Bonnie Mae Gowan Foster, age 84, of Ritchie Rd., Lincolnton was called home Monday, May 14, 2012 at the Brian Center in Lincolnton.
Bonnie was the daughter of the late Wallace and Dullie Gowan. Born May 12, 1928 in Rutherford County, she was the wife of the late Rufus Wayne Foster Sr. Bonnie worked as a nurse at the Shriners’ Hospital from 1948-1955. Later she worked at Mohican Mills where she retired in 1982. Bonnie was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Maiden. She had a love for flowers, but most of all loved spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, three brothers and four sisters preceded her in death.
Survivors include, brothers, Paul Gowan of Forest City, Elbert Gowan of Shelby; sister, Gladys Testor of Ga.; daughter, Bonnie Lou Medlin of Lincolnton; son, Rufus “Wayne” Foster Jr. and wife, Cindy of Lincolnton; three granddaughters, Lorraine Zammarelli and husband to be Roger Homesley, Tammy Wells and husband, Dennis, Tina Stroupe and husband, Stephen, all of Lincolnton; one grandson, Nakia Stacey of Lincolnton; four great-grandchildren, MaKayla and MaKenzie Zammarelli; Nathaniel and Joshua Wells.
The funeral service will be held today at 2 p.m. at Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Maiden with the Rev. Brad Painter and Rev. Fred Brockway officiating. Bonnie will be laid to rest at the church cemetery following the service.
The family received friends on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Maiden.

Amy Catharine Payne, age 28, of Hartland Road, Morganton, died Sunday, May 13, 2012 at Caldwell Memorial Hospital. She was born October 13, 1983 in Buncombe County, to Gerald C. and Ann Jones Payne, of Vale.
Survivors in addition to her parents, include two brothers, Coan Payne and Sam Payne, both of the home; one sister, Taylor Marie Hazard and husband Josh of Gastonia; paternal grandparents, Gerald C. and Sharonne Payne of Maiden; maternal grandfather, Jack Jones of Jacksonville Beach, Fla.; two nephews, Jacob and Benjamin Hazard.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, May 19, 2012 at 1 p.m. at First A.R.P. Church in Gastonia conducted by Rev. Dale Payne.
The family will receive friends following the service at the church.

NEWTON — Mae Joan Shook Suddreth, 71, of Newton, died Monday, May 14, 2012 at her home.
Born May 29, 1940 in Catawba Co., she was the daughter of the late Coyte Jake Shook and Della Mae Gilliland Shook.
In addition to her parents she was proceeded in death by her son, Franklin Jacob Jarrett; grandchildren, Thomas McDaniel and Christina Jarrett; brothers, Claude L. Shook, Marshall Shook, Jimmy Shook, and Darrell Shook.
She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Jimmy Suddreth of the home; sons, Billy Joe Jarrett Jr. and his wife Brande of Hawaii, David Clyde Suddreth of Morganton; daughters, Judy Ellen Hicks and husband Glenn of Lenoir, Cathy Jarrett Schott of Newton, Susan Jarrett Deal and husband, Danny Smith of Troutman; grandchildren, Tommy Gaither, Wendy Adams, Cindy Jarrett, Jimmy Jarrett, Fallon Deal, Billy Jarrett III, Candace “Candy” Schott, Denae Jarrett; great grandchildren, Kayla Brown, Damon McDaniel, Lucas Jarrett; and sister, Gladys “Tooter” Eaker of Cherryville.
A private service will be held at a later date.
