Gerald Anzovino Sr.

Gerald Anzovino Sr., 59, of Fords, N.J. died on Friday, May 4, 2012.

He was the beloved husband of Linda (nee VanDresser) Anzovino; loving father of Gerald Jr. and his wife Stephanie Anzovino, Vincent Anzovino and Gerald Lee Jr. and his wife Raquel Smith; dear brother of Michael and his wife, Mary Anzovino; cherished grandfather of Gabrielle.

Mr. Anzovino was a Receipt Controller for Buckeye Pipeline in Linden for 20 years. He was a member of the Buckeye Pipeline Tri-state Union.

A funeral will be held Friday at 9 a.m. from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. at St. Michael’s R.C. Church. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends will be received tonight from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. until 9 p.m.

Philip Joseph Hallman

Philip Joseph Hallman, 30, of Matthews, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, May 7, 2012, at Carolinas Medical Center-Main. Philip was a devoted husband, son and brother. He loved everyone and was loved by many. Philip was a student at Sun Valley High School in Indian Trail. He graduated with Honors and an Associate’s Degree in Computer Electronics and Engineering Technology from ITT Technical Institute in March 2011. Philip was employed as an Electrical Technician at Sapphire Technical Solutions. He loved his job as well as his co-workers.

He is survived by his forever loving wife and best friend, Diane of Matthews; his beautiful mother, Sheila “Lady,” of Lincolnton; his sister, Stacy, her husband Jason, and their sons, Bowen and Jackson, all of Gastonia; his twin brother, Matthew, his wife Paula, and their daughter, Zoe, of Charlotte. Philip is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.  He was preceded in death by his father, Patrick.

A memorial service to celebrate Philip’s life will be held 4 at p.m. Saturday, May 12, 2012, at Morningstar Presbyterian Church, 13000 Idlewild Road, Matthews, NC 28105, with Pastor Stephen Mitchell officiating.  The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.

James ‘Jim’ Morton

James “Jim” Morton, 68, went to be with his loving parents, James and Lillian Morton after a long illness. Jim leaves behind his loving wife Sue; two stepdaughters, Kimberly Edwards, Misha and Fred Coble; two grandchildren, Macy and Austin. Jim also leaves behind seven loving aunts and one uncle that he loved dearly. We want to thank you for your support during his illness Belmer, Sadie, Lucy, Vicki, Betty Lou, Ethel, Tinnie and Lewis Morton.

He was preceded in death by three uncles Bob, Mitchell, and JC Morton; grandparents S.P. and Annett Morton.

He retired from Clariant at Mt. Holly after 40 years, which he loved dearly.

The family would like send and extended heartfelt thank you to Alan Phillips and the Lincoln Nursing Center, also Dr. Toma Radut and Hospice for their loving care and support

Jimmie Lynn Neal

Miss Jimmie Lynn Neal, age 51, of 1242 Long Shoals Road in Lincolnton, died on Monday, May 7, 2012.

Her funeral service will be 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 10, 2012 at Leonard’s Fork Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Goins officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. tonight at Warlick Funeral Home.

Miss Neal was born July 28, 1960 in Gaston County to Margaret Reep Dobson and the late James T. Neal Sr.  She worked in textiles.

She is survived by two sons, Cole Lee Talbert and Devin Jarett Talbert, both of Iron Station; mother, Margaret Dobson of Lincolnton; one brother, James T. Neal Jr. of Cornelius; and one sister, Bonnie Sue Huff of Vale.

Tina Robin Neal Richards

Tina Robin Neal Richards, age 53, of 1242 Long Shoals Road in Lincolnton, died on Monday, May 7, 2012.

Her funeral service will be 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 10, 2012 at Leonard’s Fork Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Goins officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. tonight at Warlick Funeral Home.

Ms. Richards was born February 6, 1959 in Gaston County to Margaret Reep Dobson and the late James T. Neal Sr.  She worked in textiles.

She is survived by a son, Brandon Lee White of Stanley; mother, Margaret Dobson of Lincolnton; one brother, James T. Neal Jr., of Cornelius; and one sister, Bonnie Sue Huff of Vale.

Jimmy ‘Jim’ McClellan Sain

Jimmy “Jim” McClellan Sain, age 62, of Charleston Trail, Cherryville, went home to be the Lord on May 4, 2012 at Kings Mtn. Hospice.

He was born on November 8, 1949 in Lincoln County to the late Delia Mae Sain.

Jim was a past employee for Randy Hull that owned and operated a branch of Pepsi Trucking in Vale.

He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Larry and Ronnie Sain and one sister, Linda Sain Mathis.

He is survived by two daughters, Dawn Sain Harwood of Lincolnton and Casey Sain Hornung of the home; six grandchildren, Kirk McConnell, Nicholas and MaKayla Locklear, Nathanuel Harwood, Samantha and Peyton Hornung; a brother David Sain of Fla. and sister, Kay Sain of Lincolnton.

He chose to donate his body to the Science Care Fulfillment Research Center in Colo. in hopes of helping find a cure for cancer someday.

A memorial service will be held at Gospel Way Baptist Church in Cherryville after his remains are returned to the family.

Anne Isabel Sain Schronce

Anne Isabel Sain Schronce, age 80, of 1971 Hidden Valley Avenue in Lincolnton, died on Monday, May 7, 2012.

Her funeral service will be 4 p.m. on Friday, May 11, 2012 at Long Shoals Wesleyan Church with Rev. Jon Mann and Rev. James Capps officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 10, 2012 at Warlick Funeral Home.

Mrs. Schronce was born May 2, 1932 in Lincoln County to the late Fred Andrew and Hester Jarrett Sain. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Clement Schronce; a brother, G.D. Sain; and a granddaughter, Elizabeth Bridges. She worked as a teacher at Long Shoals Wesleyan Child Care.

She is survived by a son, Barry Schronce and wife Dee of Bessemer City; a daughter, Tamra S. Bridges and husband Russell of Gastonia; two brothers, Paul Sain and Jim Sain, both of Lincolnton; one sister, Nellie Sue S. Mosteller of Lincolnton; and two grandchildren, Aaron Schronce of Lincolnton and Ashley Jarvis and husband Josh of Bessemer City.
