Four suspects accused in sexual crime cases are due to appear in Superior Court this week.
Michael Brett Postell, 23, of 204 E. 1st Street in Cherryville, has been charged with indecent liberties with a child, statutory rape and first-degree kidnapping for allegedly assaulting a 12-year-old boy over a span of two years, Sheriffâ€™s Office authorities said.
The victim reported the alleged incidents to deputies in January of last year.
Postell first appeared before a Lincoln County Superior Court judge in February 2011.
Lincolnton resident, Roger Dale Reynolds, 46, of the 1200 block of Meandering Lane, is accused of inappropriately touching two children at a Lincoln County residence in March 2011. Authorities said the victims were a 10-year-old boy and a 5-year-old girl.
Major Crimes Unit Detective Sally Dellinger arrested Reynolds following a call from the Department of Social Services regarding the claims.
According to the Clerk of Courtâ€™s Office, Reynolds has been charged with felony child abuse-sexual act, attempted incest, attempted first-degree rape and indecent liberties with a child.
Also charged with incest is 34-year-old Jimmy Dean Black Jr., of 6893, Knottywood Lane in Vale.
The alleged incident occurred between January and August 2008 and involved a female teen victim, according to an arrest warrant.
Court officials said Blackâ€™s total charges include possession of a firearm by a felon, incest with a child 13, 14 or 15 years old by a defendant six years older, indecent liberties with a child, statutory rape, felony conspiracy, first-degree kidnapping and conspiracy to commit incest.
Lastly, George Michael Steen, 38, of 629 N. Cedar Street in Lincolnton, is charged with two counts of first-degree sexual offense with a child and one count of sexual offense with a child, authorities said.
According to an arrest warrant, Steen allegedly engaged in sex offense with an eight-year-old boy sometime between December 2007 and December 2008 and again between December 2008 and February 2009.
