School Board to discuss tech plan

The Lincoln County Board of Education will consider a Strategic Technology Plan for 2012-2014 for the school system and hear various recommendations and reports during its regular monthly meeting tonight.

First under the agenda’s action items, board members will vote on the Policy Committee’s proposed 2012-2013 calendar, which stood open for 25 days. They will also consider two policies regarding Lincoln County Schools employees. Additionally, student transfers will be weighed.

Also on the agenda, the board will take action on a multipurpose room change order for Pumpkin Center Primary, school renovations and this year’s Adult Spelling Bee.

Reports on school facility requests and school-sponsored sales, the Lincoln County Youth and Educator’s Summit and construction and facilities updates will also be heard.

The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. at the district’s offices on North Generals Boulevard in Lincolnton.
