NCHSAA 2A West Region Tournament wrestling
Eight Lincoln County wrestlers qualified for the individual 2A state tournament in Greensboro this week after the 2A West Region Tournament at West Lincoln on Saturday.
West Lincoln’s Dale Morris, Clay Alguire, David Sailors, Juan Jiminez and Dylan Davis are all attending based upon top-four finishes.
East Lincoln’s Moses Boyter, who finished first in the 132 lb. weight division, James Daniel and Jeremy Tarleton all made the cut.
North Lincoln’s Hunter Latshaw finished fourth in his division and earned an individual state championship berth.
West Lincoln finished fourth in the field of 23 schools with 108.5 points. East Lincoln took 10th, Lincolnton finished 18th and North Lincoln finished 19th.
