Reep plans book-signing
Lincoln County native Marty J. Reep has co-authored “Believe, Do and Follow Through!” and will be conducting a book signing 4-7 p.m. Feb. 17 at Crouse United Methodist Church on 3311 Crouse School Road in Crouse.
Reep is a Resource Advisor at Vandenberg Air Force Base in California.
Pence picked for SuperLawyers
Canon Isenhower Pence, a 1996 graduate of Lincolnton High School, has been named by North Carolina Super Lawyers and Rising Stars as one of the top up-and-coming attorneys in the state for 2012. Each year, no more than 2.5 percent of the lawyers in the state receive this honor.
Canon is an intellectual-property litigation attorney with the firm of Hunton & Williams in Raleigh.
He attended Columbia University and graduated Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he also received his law degree, with honors.
While in law school, he was editor of the International Law Review Journal and winner of the New York Bar Association International Law Writing Competition.
He is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Richard Pence of Iron Station.
