Deputies are unclear as to why two shots were fired into an Iron Station home Saturday afternoon.
According to a Sheriff’s Office report, one of the homeowners was sitting at a computer desk inside her residence on the 800 block of Monterey Drive when she heard “two loud noises†around 1:30 p.m.
At first, she told deputies that she didn’t know that two bullets had struck her house.
Authorities said one bullet hit vinyl siding on the north side of the residence and “continued through the wall†where it damaged a picture in the kitchen. Deputies seized the bullet, which the residents discovered in the kitchen sink.
A second bullet broke a double window pane, a report said.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the incident.
