Board of Commissioners

The Lincoln County Board of Commissioners will conduct its zoning public hearings meeting 6:30 p.m. Monday on the third floor of the Lincoln County Citizens Center. The public is invited to attend.


Buffalo Shoals community

Gaston College committee

The Gaston College Facilities Committee will meet 4 p.m. Monday in the Myers Center Board Room at the Dallas Campus.


LHS reunion lunch

The members of Lincolnton High School Class of 1965 will meet noon Tuesday at the Senior Center for a catered lunch and tour of the old high school building.


Lions Club

The Lincolnton Lions Club will meet 7 p.m. Tuesday at Ryan’s Steakhouse in Lincolnton. Past District Governor Neal Alexander will present the program “Lions Lingo.” Members and prospective members are encouraged to attend.


Health Department

The Lincoln County Board of Health will hold a special called meeting 7 p.m. Tuesday in the main conference room of the Health Department, 151 Sigmon Rd. in Lincolnton, to review and approve a budget proposal for FY12-13 and the “2011 State of the County’s Health” Report. The Lincoln County Board of Education will hold its monthly meeting 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Administrative Offices on N. Generals Blvd. The public is invited to attend.

Gaston College Trustees

Dinner Theater

The Lincoln Theatre Guild is sponsoring a night of Southern food, comedy and music with the performance of Ya’ll, a comedy in one-act by Elizabeth Scales Rheinfrank, 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and Feb.17-18 at the Lincoln Cultural Center. The Guild is offering free tickets to county seniors for a special performance 3 p.m. Feb. 12. Doors open at 2 p.m. Tickets are available at the Senior Center, and seniors must have a ticket to enter the show. Tree seedling sale

The Lincoln Soil & Water Conservation District will hold their annual tree seedling sale 8 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Citizens Center in downtown Lincolnton.

Zion Hill Baptist Church, 3460 Zion Hill Rd. in Cherryville, will hold The 18th Appreciation Service for First Lady Sister Cynthia A. Fuller 3 p.m. Sunday. Guest speakers will be Rev. Kimberly Moore, pastor of Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church in Gastonia, and Minister Georgianna Hartgrove of Washing Word Ministers in Gaffney, S.C.
