Lucky Country, a Lincolnton-based manufacturer and marketer of “Aussie-style” soft licorice products, has announced that Billy Henry will join the company as CEO. Henry will lead day-to-day operations of the company, as well as develop and execute business plans to drive future growth, according to a news release sent out.

He led sales and consumer-marketing groups responsible for various brands, including LifeSavers, GummiSavers, Ice Breakers and Planters, the release noted.
Prior to joining Lucky Country, Henry served as president and CEO for The Bellota Group, a consumer-products portfolio company with businesses in the lock and hand-tool industries. He also held executive positions with Microban International, a leading chemical-technology and ingredient-branding company.
Henry received his MBA from the Columbia University Graduate School of Business and his BBA from James Madison University. He and his wife, Cathy, and their three children reside in Cornelius.
