Two teens were arrested Thursday night after Sheriff’s narcotics investigators said they raided a Lincolnton home where more than a dozen people were staying, seizing a half-pound of marijuana.

According to a Sheriff’s Office press release, Devon Eugene Reedy, 18, and Ryan James Johnston, 19, both of 829 Carolina Mills Circle, were taken into custody around 9 p.m.

Authorities said they first set up surveillance in the area before finding probable cause to search the nearby residence.

Between 12 and 14 people were found to be inside the home at the time of the search, the release said. In addition to marijuana, investigators said they seized $700.

Authorities noted that prior to the raid, they’d received extensive complaints about drug activity in the area.

Both suspects have been charged with one felony count each of attempt and conspiracy and possession with intent to manufacture a controlled substance along with one misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia. Johnston faces an additional felony charge for maintaining a vehicle or dwelling for a controlled substance.

Reedy has since been released from the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center on a $4,500 secured bond while Johnston remains behind county bars under a $9,500 secured bond, authorities said.
