Adult Pottery Class
Fat Cat Pottery and Lincoln County Senior Services are hosting a senior adult pottery class starting Tuesday followed by Jan. 17 and 24. Sirens located around McGuire Nuclear Station, 12700 Hagers Ferry Road in Huntersville, near the Lincoln/Mecklenburg County line, will be tested for three minutes at 11:50 a.m. on Wednesday as part of their quarterly test. No public action is required. The test ensures sirens are working properly and does not mean to evacuate.
The siren is a signal for residents to tune to an area radio or TV station carrying an emergency alert message.
