Hesed House Opening
Hesed House of Hope, Lincoln Countyâ€™s homeless shelter, is now open for the winter season.Â The shelter is located at 100 Ann Gaither Court, Lincolnton.Â Guests wishing to stay overnight at the shelter should arrive at 6 p.m.Â Anyone wanting to volunteer to provide a meal or spend the night should contact firstname.lastname@example.org.

American Legion Dance
American Legion Maiden Post 240 is hosting a New Yearâ€™s Eve Dance Saturday at their Post 240 building located across the street from Maiden Elementary School. Last Manâ€™s Club
The Last Manâ€™s Club WWII Veterans of Lincoln County will hold their monthly meeting at 11 a.m. on Jan. 4 at Ryanâ€™s Steakhouse in Lincolnton. All WWII veterans and guests are invited to attend. One veteranâ€™s raffle winner will receive a handmade quilt.
Youth Baseball Tryouts
The Westlake Warriors 11 & under team is holding tryouts from 3-5 p.m. at the Denver Batting Center on Jan. 8.Â The team will be playing 7-8 tournaments during the spring/summer season.Â Practices will be three days a week in the Denver area.
