Hesed House Opening
Hesed House of Hope, Lincoln Countyâ€™s homeless shelter, is now open for the winter season.Â The shelter is located at 100 Ann Gaither Court, Lincolnton.Â Guests wishing to stay overnight at the shelter should arrive at 6 p.m.Â Anyone wanting to volunteer to provide a meal or spend the night should contact email@example.com.
Lupus Support Group
The Lupus Foundation of America Piedmont Chapter is holding a support group meeting from 6:30-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Catawba Valley Medical Center, 810 Fairgrove Church Road SE in Hickory. The meeting will be in AHEC room 112 (downstairs) and is open to all sufferers, family members and caretakers. Last Manâ€™s Club
The Last Manâ€™s Club WWII Veterans of Lincoln County will hold their monthly meeting at 11 a.m. on Jan. 4 at Ryanâ€™s Steakhouse in Lincolnton. All WWII veterans and guests are invited to attend. One veteranâ€™s raffle winner will receive a handmade quilt.
Youth Baseball Tryouts
The Westlake Warriors 11 & under team is holding tryouts from 3-5 p.m. at the Denver Batting Center on Jan. 8.Â The team will be playing 7-8 tournaments during the spring/summer season.Â Practices will be three days a week in the Denver area.
