Deputies are searching for a holiday thief who stole Christmas presents and other items Tuesday from two homes located in a north-central area of the county where other break-ins were reported earlier this month.
In both incidents, the homes’ back doors were kicked in and items totaling more than $1,000 were taken, authorities said.
A home located in the 100 block of 182 Tripple H Lane was broken into sometime after 9:50 a.m., authorities said. A woman left the home that morning and returned to find her flat-screen TV missing along with four prescription pill bottles and a purse.
Earlier that morning, a culprit targeted a home in the 2700 block of Summerow Road. A resident told deputies he left for work at 8:45 a.m. and that upon returning home, he noticed 15 presents had been stolen from under his tree along with some of his wife’s jewelry and the couple’s flat-screen television, according to a Sheriff’s Office press release.
Anyone with information on the incidents is asked to contact Crimestoppers at (704) 736-8909 or the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office at (704) 732-9050. Tips leading to an arrest could result in a reward of up to $1,000. Tips may remain anonymous. Deputies are continuing to investigate the break-ins.
