Tuesday Yoga

Lincoln County Parks and Recreation has partnered with certified yoga instructor Linda Goodson to offer “Yoga for All Ages.” Classes meet Tuesdays and Thursdays at Block Smith Gym, 130 Rhodes St. in Lincolnton. Classes are 10-11 a.m., 4-5 p.m. and 5:15-6:15 p.m. on Tuesdays and 4-5 p.m. and 5:15-6:15 p.m. on Thursdays. For more information, call (704) 748-1518.


Seniors Event

Carb Counting

Lincoln Quilters

Lincoln Quilters meets 7 p.m. Thursday at the Citizens Center, 115 W. Main St. in Lincolnton. Kristin Steiner will present “Quilts: Inspiration from the Journal of Life.” Visitors are welcome.


Community Support

“In My Father’s House” community support service, 208 S. Academy St. in Lincolnton, is open 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. Clothing, shoes, and accessories are available free. On the third Tuesday of each month, canned food and dry goods is given away as long as supplies last. Donations of food and clothing are needed. Call (704) 419-3298 for more information.


Kidz Klub

Hill’s Chapel United Methodist Church, 988 S. Hwy. 16 in Lowesville, will sponsor Kidz Klub 6-8 p.m. Friday. Pizza will be provided for dinner and children will make crafts, play games and listen to stories. All children from age 2 through 5th grade are invited.


LHS Fruit Sale

Poetry Lincolnton

Poetry Lincolnton meets 7 p.m. Friday at the Lincoln Cultural Center, East Main Street in Lincolnton. Guest poet is Vadoll Byers. Please use the side entrance.


Bake Sale

The Daisy, Brownie, and Junior Girl Scout Troops sponsored by Crouse United Methodist Church, Old Hwy. 150 in Crouse, will have a bake sale 9 a.m. to noon Saturday. Proceeds benefit a Family Partnership Program that provides financial assistance to girls and leaders who want to be a part of the Girl Scout program. For more information, call (704) 735-7511.


Christmas Show

North Brook Baptist Church, 7421 Flay Rd. in Cherryville, will host a Christmas Show 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday. A variety of homemade treats, ceramics, pottery, decorations, cards, plants and shrubs will be sold. Hot dogs will also be available with proceeds going to Lottie Moon Christmas Mission Offering. Soup Fundraiser

Bethel United Methodist Church, 7284 Campground Rd. in Denver, will host a soup fundraiser noon to 8 p.m. Saturday. Oyster stew, vegetable soup, potato soup, taco soup and desserts will be available as well as hot dogs. Both eat-in and carryout orders are available.


Craft Show

Food Pantry

Paint Ball

Toys for Tots Toy Run

Open Road Riderz Riding Group and Open Road Cycles is sponsoring a police escorted ride 11 a.m. Sunday. The starting point is Open Road Cycles, Hwy. 16 North in Denver. Entry fee is $20 per rider, $10 per passenger and a new unwrapped toy each. Toys will go to the USMC Reserve Toys for Tots program. Money proceeds benefit the Wounded Warriors Fund. Stomp Out Cancer

A “Stomp out Cancer” awareness program will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Charles L. Healton Royal Plaza, 905 Shannon Bradley Rd. in Gastonia. Jerrell Leeper will be the Master of Ceremonies and the Ramseur family will be the special guests.


Blood Drive

Midtown Sundries, located near the intersection of Hwy. 16 and Hwy. 73, is hosting a blood drive beginning 2 p.m. Monday. The location is also collecting donations of canned goods during the week of Nov. 21 to help those in need. For more information, call (704) 822-1380.


Charter School Board

The Lincoln Charter School Board meets 6:30 p.m. Monday at the Denver Campus. This meeting is open to the public.


Democrat Women

Lincoln County Democrat Women will meet 7 p.m. Tuesday at Democrat Headquarters. Guest speaker Sherry Reinhardt, executive director of the Child Abuse and Child Advocacy Center, will discuss the center’s function and needs. Members are asked to bring items for the children’s use such as toiletries, toothbrushes, toothpaste and wet wipes. Members should also bring party pickups for the social hour at 6:30 p.m.


Senior Center Luncheon

The Lincoln County Senior Center Christmas luncheon will be 11 a.m. Dec. 8. Registration is required by Nov. 18. A catered meal will be provided, along with entertainment, fellowship and door prizes. Cost is $5. To register, call (704) 732-9053.


Singing Christmas Tree

Tickets are available for the Singing Christmas Tree, presented annually at Double Springs Baptist Church.
