Teen hospitalized after SUV flips over

A Chevy Blazer came to rest on its roof after a single-vechicle wreck Tuesday morning on Reepsville Road near Meadowlark Lane.


A teen was rushed to the hospital after her vehicle flipped on a portion of roadway in western Lincoln County Tuesday morning.
Lincoln County Emergency Medical Services along with Union Fire Department and North Carolina State Highway Patrol responded to 2181 Reepsville Road just before 8 a.m., authorities said.
The driver of the overturned SUV was Taylor Parker, 17.
She was transported with non-life-threatening injuries to Gaston Memorial Hospital in Gastonia. However, authorities said the vehicle sustained significant damage in the crash.
No other individuals were inside the SUV, EMS officials said.
Further details on the car’s speed of impact and how the vehicle wrecked were unavailable.
