Police have arrested one man and remain on the hunt for a second accused of breaking into homes Wednesday on Dale Avenue.

Officers said they’ve apprehended David Wayne Hunsucker, 25, of 2043 Dale Avenue in Lincolnton.

Dustin Hunsucker is still at-large in the case, said Lincolnton Police Lt. Brian Greene.

Officers said the two men allegedly broke into at least four homes in their own neighborhood.

David Hunsucker was booked in the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center under a $50,800 bond. He faces numerous charges including first-degree burglary, larceny after breaking and entering, resisting, delaying and obstructing an officer, a probation violation and driving with a revoked license.

He additionally has at least three other felony convictions in Lincoln County for safecracking, breaking into vehicles and attempted larceny over $1,000 as well as an additional felony conviction for larceny in Gaston County, according to NC DOC records.
